Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can Canned apple pie filling
  • 6 pieces Soft flour tortillas Medium-sized works best.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted For brushing on taquitos.
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Method

Preparation
  1. Lay your flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling across the center of each tortilla.
  2. Roll each tortilla tightly around the filling, tucking in the sides to fully enclose the filling.
  3. Brush the outside of each rolled taquito with melted butter.
  4. In a shallow dish, stir together your sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll each buttered taquito in this mixture, coating the outside completely.
Cooking
  1. Place your coated taquitos into the air fryer basket, seam side down, in a single layer without stacking.
  2. Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 9 to 11 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  3. Carefully flip each taquito over, then air fry for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Remove from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute before serving.
Serving Suggestions
  1. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

These taquitos can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or oven to maintain crispiness. Variations include using different canned fruit fillings or adding toppings like caramel or cheesecake.
