Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 10 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 4 breasts) Choose similar-sized breasts for even cooking.
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon fine black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F.
  2. In a gallon-size zipper bag, place the chicken breasts and add olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, parsley, thyme, and tarragon.
  3. Seal the bag tightly, press out as much air as possible, and shake the bag gently until the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Remove the chicken from the bag and arrange them in the preheated air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece.
Cooking
  1. Cook the chicken for 10 minutes without opening the basket or flipping.
  2. Check the internal temperature of the thickest breast using a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches 165°F.
  3. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.

Notes

For best results, use a meat thermometer, avoid overcrowding the basket, and consider marinating the chicken for longer. This recipe is perfect for meal prep, as the chicken reheats beautifully.
