Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F and let it warm for about five minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, olive oil, honey, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Whisk until fully blended.
- If the chicken breasts are frozen together, run them under warm water briefly to separate them.
Cooking
- Brush each chicken breast with the sauce mixture on all sides.
- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space in between each piece.
- Air fry the chicken at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Check halfway through for golden color and caramelization.
- Flip the chicken using tongs, brush with any remaining sauce, and continue to air fry for another 10 to 15 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature with a digital thermometer; it should reach 165°F.
- Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve.
Notes
Always preheat the air fryer for the best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to four days.
