  • 4 pieces frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) Optional for additional flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F and let it warm for about five minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, olive oil, honey, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Whisk until fully blended.
  3. If the chicken breasts are frozen together, run them under warm water briefly to separate them.
Cooking
  1. Brush each chicken breast with the sauce mixture on all sides.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space in between each piece.
  3. Air fry the chicken at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Check halfway through for golden color and caramelization.
  4. Flip the chicken using tongs, brush with any remaining sauce, and continue to air fry for another 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Check the internal temperature with a digital thermometer; it should reach 165°F.
  6. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve.

Notes

Always preheat the air fryer for the best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to four days.
