  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice For acidity.
  • Sesame seeds for garnish Optional.
  • Red pepper flakes Optional for heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken tenders dry using paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Let the chicken rest for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Set up three bowls with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs.
Coating the Chicken
  1. Coat each chicken tender in flour first, shake off excess, then dip into beaten egg, and finally press into panko breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving small gaps between each piece.
  3. Lightly spray the chicken with cooking spray and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. While the chicken cooks, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add honey and minced garlic, stirring for 2 to 3 minutes, avoiding boiling the sauce.
  3. If desired, stir in soy sauce or lemon juice.
Final Steps
  1. Transfer the cooked chicken to a large bowl and pour the warm honey garlic sauce over it.
  2. Toss gently until the chicken is coated and serve immediately.

Notes

For variations, try adding cayenne for spice, Parmesan for richness, or lemon for brightness. Pair well with sides like coleslaw or sweet potato fries.
