Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 2 pieces Tortillas Flour tortillas work best for crispiness.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Can vary based on preference.
  • 1 cup Cooked chicken or your preferred protein Use any leftover protein or cooked chicken.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil Helps achieve a golden, crispy exterior.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Lay the tortillas flat on a cutting board or large plate.
  2. Sprinkle a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese over just one half of each tortilla.
  3. Layer the cooked chicken or any protein on top of that first layer of cheese.
  4. Add more shredded cheese before folding the tortilla in half.
  5. Lightly brush the outside of each folded tortilla with olive oil.
  6. Place the quesadillas in your air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cooking
  1. Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Carefully flip each quesadilla and cook for another 4 minutes.
Serving
  1. Remove the quesadillas from the air fryer and let them rest for about a minute before slicing.
  2. Slice into wedges and serve hot with salsa, sour cream, guacamole, or pico de gallo.

Notes

Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes to restore crispiness. Freeze individually wrapped quesadillas for up to 2 months.
