Peach Ingredients
  • 4 medium Ripe peaches, halved and pitted Choose peaches that yield slightly when pressed.
Oat Topping
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup Light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Cold salted butter, cubed Keep cold for best texture.
Serving Options
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving Optional.
  • Caramel sauce, for drizzling Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and let it fully heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry mixture. Use fingertips to work the butter into the mixture until small, pea-sized clumps form.
  4. Place the oat crumble in the fridge while preparing the peaches.
Peach Preparation
  1. Slice each peach in half along the natural seam and remove the pit.
  2. Arrange the peach halves cut-side up in a small baking dish.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Spoon a generous amount of oat crumble onto each peach half, pressing it gently to hold in place.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, checking at the 20 minute mark for browning.
Serving
  1. Let the baked peaches rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
  2. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Using ripe peaches enhances the flavor. Optionally, nutmeg can be used for added warmth.
