  • 1 package Instant banana cream pudding mix Use the standard box size.
  • 2 cups Cold milk Whole milk is recommended for richness.
  • 1 container Whipped topping Thawed if frozen.
For the Layers
  • 1 package Graham crackers Regular or cinnamon-flavored.
  • 4 medium Fresh bananas, sliced Sliced right before serving to prevent browning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk the pudding mix and cold milk in a large bowl for about two minutes until smooth.
  2. Let the mixture sit for five minutes to firm up.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping gently until no white streaks remain.
Assembly
  1. Lay a layer of graham crackers at the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread one-third of the pudding mixture over the graham crackers.
  3. Repeat the layers: graham crackers, pudding, and then graham crackers again.
  4. Cover the final layer of graham crackers with the remaining pudding mixture.
  5. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least six hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Slice fresh bananas and arrange them on top right before serving.
  7. Cut into squares and serve cold from the fridge.

Notes

Chill overnight for best texture. Use whole milk for a richer taste. Avoid slicing bananas too early to prevent browning.
