Ingredients
  

The Base
  • 1 medium ripe banana Choose a banana that is yellow with a few small brown spots.
The Ice Cream Trio
  • 1 large scoop vanilla ice cream Full-fat quality ice cream is recommended.
  • 1 large scoop chocolate ice cream
  • 1 large scoop strawberry ice cream
The Sauces
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup Warm if very thick for easier drizzling.
  • 2 tbsp strawberry sauce
  • 2 tbsp pineapple sauce or crushed pineapple Pairs amazingly with vanilla ice cream.
The Toppings
  • 3 tbsp whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 3 pieces maraschino cherries Adds a burst of sweet flavor.
  • 2 tbsp chopped roasted peanuts or walnuts Optional but recommended for crunch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Choose a ripe banana, yellow with a few brown spots.
  2. Peel and slice the banana lengthwise and place both halves cut-side up in a dessert dish.
  3. Scoop vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream in a row between the banana halves.
  4. Drizzle chocolate syrup over chocolate ice cream, strawberry sauce over strawberry, and pineapple sauce over vanilla.
  5. Add a swirl of whipped cream on top of each ice cream scoop.
  6. Place a maraschino cherry on top of each whipped cream swirl.
  7. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the dish.

Notes

Serve immediately to enjoy the textures before the ice cream melts. For the best results, serve in a chilled dish.
