Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
For the Kabobs
  • 2 pounds Sirloin steak, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
  • 2 Bell peppers, mixed colors, cut into chunks
  • 1 large Red onion, cut into chunks

Method

Preparation
  1. Whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and honey in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt into the bowl and whisk until evenly combined.
  3. Pour the marinade into a large zip-top bag, add the cubed sirloin, seal tightly and massage to coat the meat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours.
  4. Cut bell peppers and red onions into chunks roughly the same size as the beef cubes.
Grilling
  1. Thread marinated beef, bell peppers, and red onions onto skewers, alternating for looks and even cooking.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high, approximately 400°F to 450°F.
  3. Grill skewers for about ten minutes, turning every three minutes until desired doneness is reached.
  4. Check doneness with a meat thermometer; aim for 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, or 165°F for well done.
  5. Let kabobs rest under foil for ten minutes before serving.

Notes

Marinate beef longer for deeper flavor. Soak wooden skewers for 30 minutes if using them. Consistent vegetable sizes ensure even cooking.
