Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries Can substitute with frozen blueberries after thawing and draining.
For the Crumble Topping
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted Can use unsalted butter with a pinch of salt.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash the blueberries thoroughly and drain any excess liquid. Pour them into an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, oats, melted butter, and cinnamon until just combined.
  4. Drop the crumble mixture in large chunks on top of the blueberries.
Baking
  1. Bake the crisp in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
Serving
  1. Let the crisp cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
  2. Spoon into individual dishes and top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Freeze unbaked crisp for up to 2 months.
