  • 8 ounces Fresh burrata cheese Choose high-quality burrata.
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes, halved Toss with a pinch of salt.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil leaves, torn Tear by hand for best flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted pine nuts or pistachios, optional Toast in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Remove burrata from the fridge and drain off the liquid. Let it sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes.
  2. Halve cherry tomatoes and toss with a pinch of salt to draw extra juice.
  3. Tear basil leaves gently by hand.
  4. Toast the pine nuts or pistachios in a dry pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Watch closely.
Assembly
  1. Pat each burrata ball dry with paper towels.
  2. Place the burrata balls on serving plates and arrange tomatoes, basil, and nuts around them.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately and pair with warm, crusty bread.

Notes

Burrata is best served fresh. Assemble close to serving time to maintain texture. Try variations with toppings like caramelized pears or prosciutto.
