Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream and mix until creamy, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Fold in shredded chicken and cheddar cheese, then add chopped chives or green onions. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Open cans of crescent dough, and press two triangles together to form a wider base for each bundle.
Assembly
- Place 2 to 3 tablespoons of the filling in the center of each doubled dough piece. Pull the corners up toward the center and pinch them together firmly.
- Place each bundle seam-side down onto the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush generously over each bundle. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes, checking for a golden-brown color. Let cool for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For best results, use rotisserie chicken and ensure cream cheese is softened. Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting during baking.
