  • 1 pound Lump crab meat Choose high-quality lump crab meat for the best flavor.
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened Room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Shaved Parmesan cheese, divided Reserve half for topping.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves Garlic, pressed
  • 2 tablespoons Green onion or chives, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Spread crab meat out and check for any shell fragments.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream until smooth.
  4. Add lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, pressed garlic, and minced green onion to the creamy base and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Gently fold in crab meat and half of the shaved Parmesan cheese, ensuring not to overmix.
  6. Spread the mixture in the prepared baking dish and top with remaining Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes until bubbly and golden. Optionally, broil for an additional 30-60 seconds.
  8. Let the dip cool for about five minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftover crab dip in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
