Preparation
- Butter one side of each slice of bread evenly using the softened unsalted butter.
- Flip four slices of bread so the buttered side is facing down. Spread a generous layer of cranberry sauce on each.
- Layer thinly sliced brie over the cranberry sauce and then sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing up.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Cook the sandwiches for 3 to 5 minutes on one side until golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until both sides are golden and the cheese is melted.
Serving
- Remove sandwiches from the skillet and let rest for about one minute before slicing on a diagonal.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Tips for success include using room-temperature butter for even spreading, cooking the sandwiches low and slow, and not overstuffing to prevent spilling during flipping.
