Ingredients

Salmon and Shrimp
  • 2 fillets salmon fillets, about 6 ounces each
  • 12 large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and black pepper
Creamy Garlic Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup seafood or chicken broth
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat your salmon fillets and shrimp dry with a paper towel.
  2. Sprinkle paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper over both the salmon and shrimp. Rub the seasoning in gently.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for about 4 minutes.
  2. Flip the salmon and cook for another 2-4 minutes until almost fully cooked. Transfer the salmon to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 1 minute per side until pink. Remove the shrimp from the skillet.
  4. Melt the butter in the same skillet and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and broth, letting it simmer gently for about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and then add the chopped spinach until wilted.
  7. Return the salmon to the skillet and cook until fully cooked through, then add the shrimp for 30-60 seconds and stir in the lemon juice.
  8. Spoon the sauce over the seafood and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat seafood dry to ensure it sears. Serve immediately for the best texture.
