Getting Your Skillet Ready
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, coating the bottom of the pan evenly.
- Prepare your remaining ingredients nearby for efficiency.
Setting Up Your Breading Station
- In the first shallow dish, add 4 tablespoons of melted butter. In the second, mix the bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and flour.
Breading the Chicken Cutlets
- Dip each chicken cutlet into the melted butter, coating both sides before transferring to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Press the breadcrumbs firmly onto the chicken on both sides and edges.
Cooking the Chicken to Golden Perfection
- Place the breaded chicken cutlets into the hot, buttered skillet, cooking each side for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
- Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F before removing from the skillet.
Sautéing the Garlic Asparagus
- Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and sauté minced garlic for about a minute.
- Add the asparagus and cook for 4 to 6 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle remaining Parmesan.
Bringing Everything Back Together
- Return the crispy chicken cutlets to the skillet and let everything heat through together for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Serve immediately to retain crispness.
Notes
For the crispiest results, ensure your skillet is hot, don't overcrowd the pan, and press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken.
