Preparation
- Lay the chicken breasts flat at the bottom of your crockpot in a single layer, and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chicken bouillon.
- Spoon the cream of chicken soup over the chicken, ensuring it is spread evenly.
- Drop the butter pats on top of the soup layer, then pour the chicken broth around the sides of the crockpot.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on HIGH for 3.5 to 4 hours or on LOW for 6 to 7 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken inside the crockpot using two forks.
- Stir everything together until the soup and broth form a silky sauce.
- Add the egg noodles to the crockpot, ensuring they are fully coated with sauce.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for an additional 20 to 30 minutes, checking for noodle tenderness.
- Stir in dried parsley before serving.
Notes
Use wide or extra-wide egg noodles for better texture. Check noodle doneness early to avoid mushiness and adjust seasoning as needed.
