Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 large Frozen banana, sliced before freezing
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, plain
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon Peanut butter Can substitute with sunflower seed butter for nut-free version
  • 1/4 cup Milk of choice More as needed for consistency
Toppings
  • 1 tablespoon Mini chocolate chips For topping
  • Sliced banana Optional, for topping
  • 2 tablespoons Granola Optional, for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Start the night before by peeling a ripe banana and slicing it into coins. Lay the slices flat on a plate or tray and freeze for at least four hours.
  2. Once your banana is frozen solid, add it to your blender along with Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, and peanut butter. Pour in a quarter cup of your chosen milk.
  3. Blend everything on high speed, stopping to scrape down the sides with a spatula until you achieve a thick, creamy texture.
  4. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk, or if too thin, add more frozen banana slices.
  5. Pour the finished smoothie into a wide, shallow bowl, and arrange toppings such as mini chocolate chips, fresh banana slices, and granola.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness, and don't skip the toppings for added crunch. Adjust thickness to your preference by adding liquid gradually.
