Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 1 large Frozen banana, sliced before freezing Use ripe and spotty bananas for natural sweetness.
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, plain Can substitute with coconut or almond yogurt for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon Peanut butter Can substitute with sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
  • 1/4 cup Milk of choice Add more as needed for desired consistency.
Toppings (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Mini chocolate chips For topping.
  • Sliced banana For topping, optional.
  • 2 tablespoons Granola For topping, optional.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start the night before by peeling a ripe banana and slicing it into coins. Lay the slices flat on a plate or tray and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  2. Once your banana is frozen solid, add it to your blender along with Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, and peanut butter. Pour in 1/4 cup of milk to help blend.
  3. Blend on high speed, scraping down the sides until smooth and thick like soft-serve ice cream, approximately 1-2 minutes.
  4. Check texture; if too thick, add milk gradually. If too thin, add more frozen banana.
  5. Pour into a bowl and garnish with mini chocolate chips, banana slices, and granola as desired.

Notes

Using a wide bowl helps with topping arrangement. Adjust thickness based on preference. Don’t skip the toppings for added texture.
