Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken tenders, thighs, or breast, cut into 3-inch pieces Using chicken thighs keeps the skewers juicy.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter Use unsalted butter if preferred.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced garlic is recommended for stronger flavor.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce Adjust based on spice tolerance.
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust based on spice tolerance.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut the chicken into roughly 3-inch pieces and place it in a large bowl or zip-top bag.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and sprinkle the seasoning mix. Toss until fully coated.
Cooking
  1. Thread the seasoned chicken onto skewers, packing them closely together.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add butter and minced garlic, and microwave until butter melts. Stir in red pepper flakes, hot sauce, minced parsley, and grated Parmesan to create the garlic Parmesan sauce.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Cook 2-3 skewers at a time for about 5 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip the skewers, brush with garlic Parmesan sauce, and cook for another 2 minutes until the internal temperature hits 165°F.
  5. Let the skewers rest for a couple of minutes, drizzle remaining garlic Parmesan sauce, and serve.

Notes

Pack chicken pieces tightly on the skewer for maximum juiciness. Always soak wooden skewers to avoid burning. Fresh garlic gives stronger flavor. Adjust spiciness to taste.
