Method
Prepare Chocolate Layer
- Set up your double boiler over gently simmering water. Add 1 cup of chocolate chips and 3 tablespoons of peanut butter. Stir slowly until smooth. Pour into a parchment-lined baking dish and freeze for about 10 minutes.
Prepare Nougat Layer
- In a mixing bowl, combine marshmallow crème fluff, 1/4 cup peanut butter, and powdered sugar until thick and fluffy. Press evenly over the chilled chocolate base.
Add Peanuts
- Scatter peanuts over the nougat layer and gently press them down.
Prepare Caramel Layer
- In the double boiler, combine caramels and heavy whipping cream. Heat gently until completely melted and smooth. Drizzle over the peanut layer and refrigerate for about 20 minutes.
Finalize Layers
- Melt the remaining 1 cup chocolate chips and 3 tablespoons peanut butter. Pour over the set caramel layer and smooth out. Refrigerate until fully hardened, about 20-30 minutes.
- Remove from the dish using parchment paper and slice into clean squares.
Notes
For best results, chill each layer before adding the next. Use a warm, sharp knife for cutting.
