Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and let it fully heat.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt, black pepper, half of the garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to blend.
- Pat chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and season evenly with the blend. Place the seasoned chicken into your prepared baking dish.
Coating the Chicken
- In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise with half a cup of shredded parmesan, remaining garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture generously over each chicken breast.
Baking
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded parmesan cheese over the top of the coated chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 22 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F.
Serving
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Bring mayonnaise to room temperature for easier spreading. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
