Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Stir in sour cream and milk. Add onion powder and a pinch of salt, mix until creamy.
- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Assembly and Baking
- Spread half of the meat sauce in the bottom of the baking dish.
- Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the meat sauce.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the ravioli layer.
- Add the remaining ravioli over the cream cheese layer.
- Pour the remaining meat sauce on top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melty and golden.
Finishing Touches
- Allow the casserole to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired.
Notes
For best results, do not cook ravioli beforehand. Use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream. Rest the casserole after baking for neat servings.
