Ingredients

For the Pie
  • 1 pre-made graham cracker pie crust
  • 1 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed is preferred.
  • 1 package orange Jell-O (3 ounces)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 zest orange (from 1 orange) Enhances the citrus flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the orange Jell-O powder with the orange juice. Stir continuously until the Jell-O granules fully dissolve.
  2. Set the bowl aside and let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the cold heavy whipping cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks begin to form.
  4. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
Mixing the Filling
  1. Once the Jell-O mixture has cooled, gently fold the whipped cream into it using a rubber spatula.
  2. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows and orange zest into the bowl and fold them in gently until evenly distributed.
Assembly and Chilling
  1. Pour the orange filling into the graham cracker crust, smoothing the top into an even layer.
  2. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours to allow it to set.
Serving
  1. Once fully chilled, garnish the pie with additional whipped cream or fresh orange slices if desired. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best results, cool the Jell-O before combining with whipped cream. Avoid overwhipping the cream to maintain fluffiness.
