Ingredients
  

For the Donuts
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 cups whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 cookies Oreo cookies, crushed Keep some chunks for texture.
For the Glaze
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 6 cookies Oreo cookies, finely crushed
For Topping
  • 8 cookies Oreo cookies, cut in half
  • extra to taste crushed Oreos for sprinkling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease your donut pan thoroughly with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Don't overmix.
  5. Fold in the crushed Oreos, leaving some chunks visible.
Filling and Baking
  1. Transfer the batter into a piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner cut off.
  2. Pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before moving them to a cooling rack.
Making the Glaze
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until thick but pourable.
  2. Stir in the finely crushed Oreos.
Glazing
  1. Once the donuts are cool, dip the top of each donut into the glaze and let the excess drip off.
  2. Add a half Oreo on top of each glazed donut and sprinkle with extra crushed Oreos.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. They stay fresh for 2-3 days. Can freeze unglazed donuts for up to 2 months.
