Oreo Lasagna

Ingredients
  

For the cookie crust
  • 30 pieces Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
For the cream cheese layer
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Let sit out for 30 minutes before mixing to avoid lumps.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip, thawed Homemade whipped cream can be used as a substitute.
  • 10 pieces Oreo cookies, roughly crushed
For the pudding layer
  • 2 cups cold half and half or whole milk
  • 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 ounces each)
  • 10 pieces Oreo cookies, roughly crushed
For the topping
  • 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip, thawed
  • 10 pieces Oreo cookies, crushed for garnish

Method
 

Build the Cookie Crust
  1. Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip-top bag.
  2. Mix the crumbs with melted butter in a large bowl until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and press down firmly to form the crust. Chill in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
Mix the Cream Cheese Layer
  1. Beat the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until fluffy.
  2. Gently fold in the Cool Whip and crushed Oreos until evenly mixed.
Layer the Cream Cheese Mixture
  1. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the chilled crust. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Whisk Together the Pudding Layer
  1. In a large bowl, add cold half and half or whole milk and instant chocolate pudding mix. Whisk until thickened.
  2. Let the pudding sit for five minutes then fold in the crushed Oreos.
Add the Pudding and Chill
  1. Spread the chocolate pudding layer over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for 5-10 minutes.
Finish With the Topping
  1. Spread remaining Cool Whip over the pudding layer, covering completely.
  2. Garnish with crushed Oreos and cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least four hours.
Slice and Serve
  1. Use a warm sharp knife to slice the dessert into squares before serving straight from the fridge.

Notes

For the best results, let the full dessert chill overnight. Variations include mint chocolate, peanut butter swirl, fruit toppings, and gluten-free options.
