Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar Packed tightly.
  • 1.5 cups creamy peanut butter Smooth texture is preferred.
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup chopped Butterfinger candy bars (about 3 bars) Chop into small pieces.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and creamy peanut butter. Beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until a thick dough forms.
  6. Gently fold in peanut butter chips and chopped Butterfinger pieces.
  7. Scoop 1-2 tablespoons of dough, roll into balls, and place on the baking sheet spaced apart.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are set but centers are still slightly soft.
  9. Allow cookies to rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Optionally, press additional Butterfinger or peanut butter chips on top while warm.

Notes

Do not overbake; cookies are best when centers look soft. Chilling the dough can help with thickness.
