Preparation
- Season and shape the patties by mixing the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Divide and form the beef into four equal patties, making a shallow indent with your thumb in the center.
- Refrigerate the patties for 5-10 minutes.
Toppings Preparation
- Prep your pizza toppings by slicing mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives as needed, and measure out the marinara sauce.
- Toast burger buns with butter in a skillet on medium heat until golden.
Cooking the Patties
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties without disturbance for 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes, adding marinara sauce and other toppings.
- Cover with a lid to melt the cheese for 1-2 minutes.
Assembly
- Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the toasted buns and adding fresh basil if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Serve immediately for best texture. Use 80/20 ground beef for juicy patties. Toast buns to avoid sogginess.
