Ingredients

For the Brownie Base
  • 1 box (19–19.1 ounces) Brownie mix Use a standard size box for the best texture.
  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable oil Adjust butter-to-oil ratio for better fudginess.
For the Additions
  • 1 cup Chopped Reese's cups Regular size or mini cups, chopped roughly.
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter chips For added richness.
  • 1/2 can (about 7 oz) Sweetened condensed milk Use about three-quarters of the can for drizzling.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9x13 inch pan with foil and lightly spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine softened butter, egg, vegetable oil, and brownie mix. Mix slowly until combined.
  3. Spread the thick batter into the prepared pan using a spatula or your hands, sprayed with non-stick spray.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped Reese's cups over the pressed brownie layer, followed by the peanut butter chips.
  5. Drizzle about three-quarters of the sweetened condensed milk over the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 28 to 30 minutes until just set. Check at the 26-minute mark to avoid overbaking.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow the pan to cool completely before refrigerating for at least one hour.
  2. Slice the chilled bars for clean cuts and enjoy!

Notes
