Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Unroll the first can of crescent roll dough into the baking dish, pressing it flat and pinching together any seams.
- Optionally, pre-bake the bottom layer for 5 to 8 minutes to prevent sogginess.
Making the Filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pre-baked crust.
Assembly
- Unroll the second can of crescent dough over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it covers the surface.
- Brush melted butter over the top layer of dough.
- In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for the topping, and sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
Cooling and Serving
- Let the cheesecake cool at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
- For cleaner slices, chill in the refrigerator before serving. Drizzle honey on top just before serving.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth filling. Optionally chill before slicing for presentation. Can store in an airtight container for up to four days.
