Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 2 cans 8 oz cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough
For the cheesecake filling
  • 2 packages 8 oz packages of cream cheese, softened to room temperature Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the topping
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted This will create the golden finish.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar, for the topping Combine this with cinnamon.
  • to taste Honey, for drizzling Drizzle on top right before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Unroll the first can of crescent roll dough into the baking dish, pressing it flat and pinching together any seams.
  3. Optionally, pre-bake the bottom layer for 5 to 8 minutes to prevent sogginess.
Making the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pre-baked crust.
Assembly
  1. Unroll the second can of crescent dough over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it covers the surface.
  2. Brush melted butter over the top layer of dough.
  3. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for the topping, and sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the cheesecake cool at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
  2. For cleaner slices, chill in the refrigerator before serving. Drizzle honey on top just before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth filling. Optionally chill before slicing for presentation. Can store in an airtight container for up to four days.
