Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped Should be dried and chopped finely for best texture.
  • 1 cup chopped artichokes, drained Use plain canned artichokes for best results.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Pull out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before using.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Extra mozzarella can be used on top for a crispy layer.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Add more if desired.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For Assembly
  • 24 pieces square wonton wrappers Ensure they are pressed properly into the muffin tin.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese until smooth. Add spinach, artichokes, mozzarella, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined.
  3. Lightly grease a 24-cup muffin tin.
  4. Press each wonton wrapper into the greased muffin tins, ensuring the corners stick up.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Fill each wonton cup with the spinach and artichoke mixture, pressing down lightly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until the edges are golden and crispy.
  3. Allow to cool for 3 to 5 minutes before removing from the muffin tin.

Notes

Serve the wonton cups within 20 minutes of baking for the best texture. You can also prepare the filling up to 2 days in advance.
