Preparation
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar gradually to avoid a mess.
- In another bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined to achieve an airy texture.
- If using instant pudding, whisk it with milk until thickened; allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
- Slice the bananas and strawberries evenly, being careful not to snack on them during preparation.
Layering
- In a glass dish or trifle bowl, layer the ingredients as follows: vanilla wafers, banana slices, cheesecake cream, pudding layer, and sliced strawberries.
- Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used or desired height is achieved.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Notes
For deeper flavor, chill the pudding overnight. Avoid overmixing the whipped cream or it will collapse. Serve by scooping into bowls or cups, with an optional drizzle of strawberry sauce for presentation.
