  • 42 ounces strawberry pie filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened for easy mixing.
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Top Layer
  • 15.25 ounces white cake mix
  • 1 cup salted butter, cold Cut into thin pats.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the strawberry pie filling into the baking dish and spread it evenly across the bottom.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Dollop the cheesecake mixture over the strawberry layer, spacing out the dollops.
  5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cheesecake layer.
  6. Cover the dry cake mix with cold butter pats, ensuring an even distribution.
Baking
  1. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
  2. Remove from oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use cold butter for the crispiest topping. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat portions in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
